The Dobbs Ferry Fire Department is an all-volunteer department serving the residents of the Village of Dobbs Ferry since 1883. The department consists of 90 members in three companies: Resolute Hook and Ladder Co., Livingston Hose Co., and the Ogden Engine Co. The department responds to 350-400 hundred calls a year for a multitude of incidents including structure fires, utility emergencies, automobile accidents, hazardous material incidents, automatic alarms, public assistance calls, weather events and mutual aid requests from neighboring communities.
The department operates three Engines, one Tower Ladder, a Utility unit and three Chief vehicles out of two firehouses. Members invest thousands of man-hours to training on different phases of firefighting operations and emergency response to ensure they are providing the highest quality service to the resident of the Village of Dobbs Ferry.
